These shots are from two separate trips to Rocky Mountain National Park. One trip was up and over Trail Ridge Road by car, and the other was a walk to Cub Lake.
The first poor quality picture of a bald eagle catching a good-sized fish from the lake starts the action. Then I watched that adult and three juveniles compete with each other for bits of the prize for about 20 minutes.

On a drive behind Lory State Park, west of Fort Collins, I came first across these wild turkeys and deer. They posed briefly but mostly glared at us over their shoulders as they walked away. Later the same day along the Poudre River, I watched this American Dipper dive again and again into the icy waters.
I found this beautiful red-tailed hawk near the Cathy Fromme Prairie in Colorado. She was diving into the snow for prey from the branches of a tree.
